"The photographer Sandra Lousada spent hours viewing the viewers, and the results, which take up a wall of the current show, are extraordinary: a world of little old ladies (probably in their fifties, but who have visibly given themselves up to age) wearing hats, mingling with Beat students in drainpipe trousers and chunky jumpers. But the real interest is in how they engage with the Rothkos."
